Did you know ?
It is a deformation of the front-foot (often by women).
This very painful and unsightly deformation is above all an abnormal drifting or inward leaning of the great toe towards the second toe, which is also commonly associated with bunions.
The causes are diverse, they can be hereditary, feminine ligamentary laxity, the pointy-toed shoes.
The only remedy: the operation or the prevention with some following advice: shoes with too sharp ends to be eliminated from your wardrobe, a 3 cm heel at most is bearable, supple material; the weight excess to be avoided, arch supporters for flat feet to be used.
